Please mark your calendars for Open House on Thursday, March 8 from 6:00 - 7:00 pm.  This is a great event to come see your child's classroom work and enjoy seeing teachers and friends.  The whole family is invited to this "come and go" event

Remind your students to keep reading books from the Texas 2x2 Reading List and Texas Bluebonnet Awards.  These award-winning books can be found at our local public libraries. Click on the links below for each reading list:
In support of these Texas reading programs and the extra efforts of our Brinker students, Brinker PTA recognizes 3rd-5th grade students who read at least 10 books from the Bluebonnet list and Kindergarten–2nd grade students who read at least 15 books from the 2x2 list. The students who read the books and turn in their reading logs by the March 9th deadline will be invited to attend a celebration in the spring.

A reading log was provided to your child by the librarian at the beginning of the year and can also be found at the links above. If interested, have your child read the books on the reading list and keep track on the reading log and turn in their log by March 9th. Happy Reading!

Contact  our Literary Enrichment Chair if you have any questions literarysupport@brinkerpta.org

Immediately following the election, the PTA will recognize Brinker student winners of the following events: Reflections, Spelling Bee, Geography Bee, Fire Prevention Poster Contest, MLK Jr.. Writing Contest, Chess Club Tournaments and the Regional Science Fair.

Session III starts on Mar 22nd. Register your student today!  Classes run every Thursday for 8 weeks, â€ªMar 22 -  May 10, from 4:00 - 5:15 pm at the Brinker Library.  The cost is $180 per student and all skill and grade levels are welcome.

Enrollment is now open - click HERE to signup on the membership toolkit. Please contact chess@brinkerpta.org for any questions.

Enrollment for 2018-19 Kindergarten students will take place on March 23 from 9-11 am & 1-3 pm. Getting an accurate number of students is very important in helping us plan for the number of classes and teachers we will need. A child must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2018 in order to attend Kindergarten. Each child will need immunization records signed by a doctor, certified birth certificate, child’s social security card, if available, proof of residency (current gas or electric bill or lease agreement) and parent’s driver’s license in order to register. If you know children in your neighborhood who will be in kindergarten next year, please let them know about round-up!

March 23, 2018 from 5:00 - 6:00 pm

The Brinker Color Fun Run is an untimed run where Brinker students are dusted in different colors at stations around the lap course.  The event is all about students running, walking or even skipping while family members and Brinker community cheer them on!

Please note students will not be collecting donations for laps, but there is an option to sponsor your student's run through the Color Run Sponsor Collection field below the Color Run Registration Fee if you choose to do so - this donation will go toward supporting Brinker PTA's Programs enriching and enhancing students' educational experience and their healthy lifestyles.

We hope you and your family can join us for this fun family event!
