We had such a huge turnout for our annual “Movie Night with Dad” on Jan 22. Close to 200 Brinker “Dads” and their Brinker Bears filled the gym with blankets, lawn chairs and laughter for a fun night watching “Horton Hears a Who.” It was a great opportunity for everyone to mingle and get to know other families in our Brinker Community.
I want to give a huge shout out to Shelly and Jason Prowell, Pinstack Bowl and Cinemark for generously donating the yummy desserts, hot, fresh popcorn, free kids meals coupons and four (4) family bowling passes for our door prize drawings. How lucky are we to have such amazing Community Partners who want to support Brinker in so many ways. If you haven’t ever been to Pinstack Bowl, which is 5 minutes away, it is a MUST for you and your family. It has something fun for everyone!
Speaking of amazing Community Partners who support Brinker, I also want to thank others who have worked with us:
Dawn Burnett / Federal Express
Please support our local businesses as they support Brinker!
There are many more opportunities to get involved with Brinker listed below in the newsletter and will continue in the next few months. Please check brinkerpta.org for up-to-date Brinker calendar information on volunteering or Brinker community events.

SAGE INCLUSION EVENTFEBRUARY 5
The Brinker PTA needs volunteers who can help this Friday, February 5when the Plano ISD Council of PTA’s Inclusion Awareness Kit is presented to our Brinker students. To be successful, we are looking for MANY volunteers who can fill one or more time slots. Volunteers must have PISD security clearance. Please visit Membership Toolkit to sign up for a shift. We are excited to announce that Brinker will be holding a Color Fun Run and Technology Fundraiser for Brinker students on Friday, March 18 from 5–6 pm. This event is a family fun activity in which your student will want to participate. Brinker students will raise money to help their school purchase technology that is missing in the classrooms for instruction and to advance their engagement in learning and creativity. Brinker students will collect pledges from family, friends, and community–the more laps they run at the Color Fun Run–the more money they will raise for their school’s technology needs. More information about the color fun run, fundraiser FAQ, and pledge forms will be sent to parents and students in the next week.
For now, put this date on your calendar as your student will not want to miss out on this new Brinker family-fun event and enjoy some messy colorful activity with all their friends while supporting their school!
